Services & Fees
Whether you want to learn more about breastfeeding for your upcoming birth or arrival of an adopted baby, get support with a unique feeding situation, or are experiencing breastfeeding challenges, we are here to help!
Scientist to Mama is an in-network provider with Aetna and Independence Blue Cross (IBX) insurance. Any co-payment required by your plan, is collected at the time of service. I am an out-of-network provider with all other major insurance companies, and full payment for the visit is expected at the time of service. Visits are $195-$250 depending on visit type, length and if there are multiple babies, unless indicated below. Some insurance companies may reimburse for the cost of lactation visit(s) and not all visit types are covered. If you have insurance, a claim for reimbursement will be submitted on your behalf. Please see the FAQs page for additional details. A full description of this process is provided in my Payment Policy, shared at the time of booking.
All visits include a one-two week follow-up period, as needed. An additional fee will be charged beyond this point, or the recommendation to schedule a follow-up visit.
Visits outside of a 25 mile radius from my home incur a $25 travel fee. You will be notified at the time of booking whether this applies.
Package Visit Selections
For families not in-network with Aetna or IBX, visit packages are available. Packages make the perfect gift for a new or expecting parent wishing to breastfeed, or are a great addition to your baby registry. Payment for visit packages is due at the time of purchase (if gifting), or at the first visit (self purchase clients). Refunds will not be issued for any visit(s) or portion of a package not needed or utilized. Please contact me for package pricing.
